A Family Tradition
Windy Hill Workshop is a veteran owned business located in the rolling farmlands of Southern Pennsylvania and is based on a rich heritage of makers. We are the sons and daughters of generations of unsurpassed craftmanship in the carpentry and woodworking field. This family skillset was brought to Pennsylvania in 1705 settling in Conestoga, Lancaster County. Windy Hill Workshop was established in 2012 and primarily limited to projects for family and friends. In 2020 the shop began to grow into a creative production type space and in December of 2022 our workshop officially became an LLC.
Windy Hill Cross Ministry
Windy Hill Cross Ministry handcrafts small wooden crosses that inspire hope and encouragement. These crosses are donated to churches, military communities, and charitable organizations in the U.S. and abroad, fostering connection and uplifting spirits.
The stories we have collected highlight the profound impact that these crosses can have on people's lives. Each testimonial reflects a unique experience, showcasing the significance of the gift in moments of joy, sorrow, or reflection. Individuals express how these crosses serve as a source of comfort, a reminder of faith, or a symbol of love and support during difficult times. The diverse backgrounds of the gift recipients enrich the narrative, illustrating how these crosses transcend cultural and personal barriers, resonating with the universal themes of hope and connection. Every shared experience reinforces the purpose behind creating these thoughtful gifts, affirming our commitment to spreading kindness and meaningful connections.
This Ministry was originally started by Jamie’s father and late brother Charlie in 2004. At the time they had produced over 20,000 crosses between them. We have continued this Ministry, dedicated to creating each cross with care and devotion. To date, the Cross Ministry has handcrafted over 100,000 crosses, each one carrying a profound sense of faith and hope.
